The Vidyalaya provides  manifold facilities  to the students and the teachers in every respect of teaching -learning strategies as recommended by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the Central Board of Secondary Education: Delhi. It follows syllabi and curriculum recommended by the NCERT and CBSE New Delhi. The Vidyalaya adopts bilingual medium of institution i.e. Hindi and English in classrooms and in the conduct of co-curricular/Extra -curricular activities and games and sports. However, equal weightage is given to both the languages. Subjects like Science and Mathematics are taught through English and Environmental Studies (in primary classes) and Social Sciences in Secondary and Higher Secondary are taught either through Hindi or English as and when required.

LIBRARY: 

The library provides books of all kinds related to school subjects and varied fields of studies covering latest branches of wide ranging subjects as computer science and informatics practices. The library has at present a big reference section, well equipped with modern dictionaries and encyclopedia of latest publications. It also subscribes at national dailies , both Hindi and English and dallies / journals and magazines and other periodicals .

LABORATORIES:

The Vidyalaya has separate labs of Physics , Chemistry and Biology subjects and one Junior Science Lab and one Junior Mathematics  Lab. There are departments of teaching aids ( audio and visuals) and English languages lab so  as to the needs of modern classroom teachings and learnings.

COMPUTER SCIENCE:.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Imphal Lamphelpat has opened a well equipped computer rooms with internet facilities. Computer has been made a compulsory subject for all the students of classes 6 to 12 . In class 11 Science and 12 Science, Informatics Practices as an elective course of study has been opened with syllabus prescribed by Central Board of Secondary Education : Delhi.

VOCATIONAL COURSES:

In addition to the normal non - scholastics subjects such as drawing, physical and health education, the Vidyalaya has opened vocational subjects such as dance and music, cane and bamboo crafts, fine arts, designing and embroidery for those interested in the subjects with varied courses of studies as prescribed by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

GAMES AND SPORTS:

The Vidyalaya provides adequate facilities to sports lovers/enthusiasts of the Vidyalaya to receive training under the experts coaches in different events such as football, handball, volleyball, cricket, judo, karate, Tae-Kwon-Do and athletics. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has defined strategies for promoting talented sports boys and girls of the Vidyalaya.
